The objective of the course is to provide students with the basic knowledge and skills on public speaking. The course comprises the basic knowledge and skills of public speaking, which include the planning, managing and implementation of presentation techniques, persuasive speech, the application of methods suitable for the designated audience, context and goals as well as the ethics involved in presenting speeches. This course emphasizes learning through class activities as well as the organisation and delivery of public speeches. At the end of the course, students will participate in the university-community engagement (UCE) program related to the skills acquired. Students will be evaluated through assignments and practical tests.
